Q: What are the programs like?
A: The goal of each program is to provide a friendly but professional atmosphere, where you will feel respected, valued, and safe. The reason so many people have taken and completed the Neighborhood Family Center programs is because this atmosphere allows for real transformation and success.
Q: Will I have homework?
A: Some program facilitators do assign homework assignments.
Q: What happens if I have to miss a class, or two?
A: The programs have different rules and regulations. If you miss a class, contact the Neighborhood Family Center office promptly.
Q: Do I have to buy any additional materials?
A: No
Q: How long is the initial appointment?
A: Allow one hour
Q: When can I start?
A: Normally a client can start within the same week as enrollment.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Please go to the Programs page and see the fees for each program.
Q: How do I pay?
A: We accept checks, exact cash, money orders or PayPal
Q: Do you take Medi-Cal?
A: No
Q: Is there someone I can talk with if I have any other questions or concerns regarding the programs or if I need help with making an appointment?
A: Yes, please feel free to call to make your appointment or if you have questions or concerns. Someone will be available to talk with you Monday-Friday from 10 am to 4 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm. If you get the message service, leave a message and we will return your call promptly, either that day or during our next business hours.

For Court-Ordered Participants
Q: What do I need to enroll?
A: You will need:
An enrollment fee of $30
A picture I.D
Proof of income
Your referral from the Court, DCFS, the Probation Department, or whom ever is sending you to complete a program.
Q: If I can’t make it to my assigned group, can I come to a make up class?
A: With Court approval, a make up class can be scheduled, as long as it is done within the same week.
Q: What happens if I am dismissed from my program?
A: You and the referral party will be notified.
Q: Do I get a Proof of Enrollment, Progress Reports and a Certificate of Completion?
A: Yes
Q: I need my certificate right away! How fast can I get it?
A: We will make every effort to meet your needs.
